Why avoid copying events between calendars?

Three reasons. First, ghost-event clutter, every meeting appears 2-8 times in your week view and every automation that watches your calendar (Slack presence, meeting notes tools, focus-time blockers) sees the ghosts too. Second, privacy, copied events include titles and attendees by default; you have to remember to enable the privacy filter on every new connection. Does Meetingpad support Outlook?

The ceiling of a sync tool

Sync tools do one thing: make busy times visible across every calendar. That solves double-booking, but it doesn't solve the calendar workflow for someone running multiple Google Workspaces. Sending an invite from the wrong Gmail is still bad optics. Duplicate events still clutter your week. Automations that watch your calendar still get confused. Configuring privacy is still your problem to remember.

Meetingpad doesn't do any of that.
